Webcast Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that isn't covered here, please contact us online.

What is a webcast?

Webcasts are a type of web conference. For Xactware Webcasts, the audio and video will be broadcast through your computer. You do not need to call in. Xactware Webcasts cover a variety of subjects and are intended to keep you informed of industry news, Xactware products, and other topics of interest. Most webcasts include a presentation or demonstration. Many webcasts are followed by a question-and-answer session.

How do I register for an Xactware webcast?

You can find the register link on the webcast page at Xactware.com. This page is continually updated with the latest webcast information.

What if I can't hear the audio from the webcast?

First, double check that the audio on your computer is enabled and that your speakers are turned on. If you do not have speakers, you will need headphones to listen to the webcast.

If you are still unable to hear the audio, go to the Adobe Connect troubleshooting page for further assistance. Keep in mind that all Xactware Webcasts are recorded and made available online, usually the day following the live broadcast. If you miss all or part of a webcast because of technical difficulties, you will still have access to an on-demand version later.

Where do I find my ID number and other login information?

After registering for the webcast, you will receive an email confirming your request. A second email that confirms your registration will arrive, usually within a few hours. This second email is very important — it includes the link and step-by-step instructions how to log in—including your ID number, user name, and password.

How do I log in to view the webcast?

To log in to the webcast, follow the instructions you received in the second confirmation email.

If you did not receive a confirmation email with this information, please check your spam folder. If the email is not found, contact xactwebcast@xactware.com.

I am receiving a message that my login information is incorrect. How do I log in if I get this message?

Close all Internet browsers and attempt logging in again. If the problem continues, please contact xactwebcast@xactware.com.

When I go to register for the webcast, I receive a message stating the event is full. How do I register if this is the case?

Xactware Webcasts have a limited number of seats. This helps preserve the experience for attendees and makes sure there are no technical difficulties caused by the hosting server for users trying to connect. Many Xactware Webcasts fill up soon so please register early. If you would like to be included on a stand-by list, please contact xactwebcast@xactware.com.

When I go to log in to the webcast, one of the following occurs:
  1. I receive a message saying the webcast has not started yet.

Close all Internet browsers and try logging in again. The event must be open before you can join. Typically, Xactware Webcasts are open 20 minutes prior to the 2:00 p.m. MT start time.

  2. A message states the webcast is in progress and I cannot log in.

Close all Internet browsers and attempt logging in again. If the problem continues, please go to the Adobe Connect troubleshooting page for further assistance.

  3. The software begins loading and tells me to wait, but it never finishes loading.

Close all Internet browsers and attempt logging in again. If the problem continues, please go to the Adobe Connect troubleshooting page for further assistance.

What if I registered for a webcast and am unable to attend?

If you have registered for a webcast and know that you will be unable to attend, please cancel your registration so your seat may be filled by another person.

I missed the webcast I was scheduled for. Can I sign up for a different time?

Xactware Webcasts are recorded and made available for on-demand viewing, usually by the day following the webcast. If you missed a webcast you can view the recording later.

Please also sign up for coming live webcasts. Live webcasts give you the ability to chat with the hosts and to submit questions when question-and-answer sessions are scheduled.

If you were unable to attend because of technical difficulties, please go to the Adobe Connect troubleshooting page for further assistance or email xactwebcast@xactware.com.
