The patented technology behind Sketch helps speed the claims process by enabling you to draw and scope a structure at the same time. In Sketch you can draw building interiors, exteriors, roofs, stairs, and more in either plan view or in 3D. Sketch variables improve your accuracy while reducing the need for manual calculations. Supported Tablet PCs Use the latest Laptop, Tablet PC, Convertible, or Netbook computers. Xactware was the first company in the insurance industry to develop property estimation software for the Tablet PC. Since then, this technology platform has been used by Xactware’s customers to settle over half-a-million property losses. As a normal course of Xactware's QA and product release testing, several Tablet PC models have been verified to be fully Xactimate version 27 compliant, including the following: Convertible Tablet PCs Convertible tablets, such as the Lenovo ThinkPad X41, are equipped with keyboards. They resemble conventional laptop PCs but have the ability to rotate the touch-sensitive display and lay it flat over the key-board for a more comfortable, pen-based interface when desired. These devices are very versatile, allowing for fast keyboard entry when possible, but can be somewhat more fragile than other options. Slate Tablet PCs Tablets such as the Toshiba R10-S804TD are thin, very lightweight, and are not equipped with keyboards. Some models do come with removable, portable keyboards. Virtually all modules have docking stations available that provide for attachment to a full-size monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Ruggedized Tablet PCs These devices are built for environments where hardware may be easily damaged. They are typically equipped with tough casings and shock-absorbing hard drives. These tablets are intended for a workforce in outdoor, dirty, and less than ideal conditions. They are ultradurable but are often more expensive than other comparable models and typically lag behind in overall computing power and features.
Assignment Workflow Send, receive, and track assignments in real-time. The XactAnalysis network integrates with your workflow and allows you to send and receive assignments for valuations and estimates to staff, independent adjusters, or contractors. Forms and Reporting Utilize a host of claims forms and reports. All of the existing flood forms in Xactimate have been updated to match the latest NFIP reports. New flood forms have also been added including the ICC Adjuster Report, Mobile Home Worksheet, and Preliminary Damage Assessment. Time & Materials Estimate labor, materials, and equipment at the component level. The Time and Materials feature allows you to quickly access item components and create an estimate using a tabbed style interface. It also lets you input data on a daily basis by Labor, Materials, Equipment, Vendor, and Additional Expenses. Plus, you can even customize each entry with unique and repeatable data such as Franchise number or Employee Name. Remediation contractors benefit from using it to write an invoice for the work done, while CAT adjusters can quickly add component items from a tick sheet without having to drill down into line item assemblies.
Language Packs (French and Spanish) Estimate in one language and print reports in another. Xactimate language packs are available for Xactimate-Spanish and French (CA), allowing the user to write their estimate in English while printing reports in Spanish or French, as an example. That’s why Xactware currently researches and reports on industry pricing for more than 470 geographic regions in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland via our estimation and valuation software. Each of our cost databases is fully researched, validated, and supported by Xactware’s in-house team of professionals, who have more than 400 years’ combined experience in the construction and restoration industries and have been providing building cost data to the insurance industry since 1989. As a result, Xactware’s published cost information has become the most widely used pricing data in the industry.

With Xactware’s pricing list databases, you’ll be able to:

How often are price lists updated?

Xactimate^® 27 System Requirements

Xactware invests a great deal to emulate and test hundreds of combinations of hardware and software scenarios. We focus on the scenarios predominant in the market that will return the best results for our customers. Xactimate system requirements often correspond to the same trends established by Microsoft.

A Microsoft “System Rating” of 4.0 is recommended for the best possible Xactimate performance results. This rating can be found on Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers. A comprehensive list of system requirements can be found below.

Xactimate and other Xactware products are not supported on a Mac, as it has not been tested on an Apple Operating System. Xactware products work with a number of Windows and Vista operating systems – check the chart below to see if your operating system supports the specific product in which you are interested. Xactware does support machines using a dual boot configuration as long as only one operating system is running at a given time, and as long as that operating system is supported.

Xactimate 27 supports client-server networks when running Windows Server 2003/2008. Xactimate 27 also supports peer-to-peer networking.

Small Office Network:
Typically a Small Office Network consists of 10 workstations or less, where program and data reside on the same server.

Enterprise Network:
Typically an Enterprise Network consists of 10 or more workstations in a data center or large office. Hardware requirements must meet those of a small office network, but may be greater depending on the size of the network. Due to the user limitations of Microsoft SQL Server Express Edition, it is recommended that Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 be used in an Enterprise Network environment. Please consult with an IT professional to determine the requirements necessary to meet the needs of an Enterprise Network.
