Aerial Sketch is a new do-it-yourself roof estimating solution in Xactimate 27.3 that enables you to estimate residential and commercial roofs as well as create roofing diagrams using aerial photos.

Features
  • Search for and find aerial photos of a home or business.
  • Import aerial images of a structure from providers such as Pictometry*, or import your own saved roof images. With Aerial Sketch, you can even preview aerial photos of a structure for no cost before purchasing them.
  • Draw and diagram roofs, including roof edges, ridges, hips, valleys, faces, and more.
  • Download aerial photos from Pictometry that enable you to view building structures from various angles, such as overhead, north, south, west, east, as well as the community where the structure is physically located (instead of only a top-down view of a roof) in order to get a better feel for a building structure, property, and the surrounding community.
  • Set the scale of an aerial image as well as adjust the measurements and dimensions of the structure in your aerial sketch. (Note: Pictometry images automatically come into Aerial Sketch to scale). Aerial Sketch even lets you indicate which measurements in your sketch have been field verified.
  • Automatically calculate roof quantities such as the square footage and the number of squares.
  • View the completed roof sketch in 2D or 3D.
  • Create an estimate based on your aerial sketch.
