Xactimate® 27 Key Features

Xactimate 27 streamlines the claims estimating process for any type or size of loss and is available in two versions: Xactimate and Xactimate Professional.

Sketch®

Patented Sketch technology improves estimating efficiency by allowing you to draw and scope a structure at the same time. In Sketch, you can place and dimension doors and windows in 3D. Sketch variables help you improve your accuracy while reducing the need for manual calculations. New and enhanced Sketch features include: Drag-and-drop estimating, an Annotation Layer, Slide-Out Sketch Controls, 3D views, 3D estimating, and Sketch wizards (for fencing, arced walls, curved staircases, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, and decks).

Aerial Sketch™

Aerial Sketch is a powerful do-it-yourself roof estimating solution available in Xactimate 27.5 that enables you to estimate residential and commercial roofs, as well as create roofing diagrams using images from providers such as Pictometry or web-mapping services like Google and Bing. With this solution, automated tools trace roof edges, as well as ridges, hips, valley, faces and more. Aerial Sketch even has tools to determine roof slope. The sketch is then converted into a two- or three-dimensional diagram.

Online Sketch Template Gallery

The Online Sketch Template Gallery helps you save time in scoping and sketching intricate floor plans by allowing you to search for, find, use, rate, and even upload your own Sketch templates. Now you can download and modify a host of existing Sketch templates instead of having to create them from scratch.

Macros and Templates

Macros, which are saved lists of line items, allow you to enter commonly used items into an estimate with a single click. In addition, the templates enable you to enter a sketched component of a structure onto a floor plan complete with the commonly used items. Not only are these features completely customizable, but they can help drastically reduce the amount of time that you spend estimating.

Service Packs

Service Packs contain the latest collection of feature enhancements and defect corrections to continue providing the best estimating technology for our customers. Service Packs will be released to generic profiles twice a year.

Pricing Data

Xactware publishes pricing data for more than 470 geographic regions on two continents. Each price list is fully researched, validated, and supported by Xactware’s in-house team of construction and restoration professionals. Xactware’s structural price list contains nearly 10,000 line items with full time-and-material information including labor productivity rates for restoration and new construction, labor-and-burden overhead, material costs, and equipment costs.

Product Support

Get the answers you need from Xactware's eService Center, open 24/7. The Answer Center contains more than 1,200 support documents, many of which include multimedia instruction. Our knowledgeable support staff is also available via email and online chat.

XactAnalysis Previous Loss Data Integration with ISO ClaimSearch

Access previously uploaded Sketch information and loss data with XactAnalysis Previous Loss Data, available within Xactimate estimates. In addition, for customers of ISO ClaimSearch (the only comprehensive all-claims database and system for claims processing and fraud detection) all ISO ClaimSearch data is now available within Xactimate estimates.

Supported Tablet PCs

Xactware was the first company in the insurance industry to develop property estimation software for the Tablet PC. Since then, this technology platform has been used by Xactware’s customers to settle over half-a-million property losses.

As a normal course of Xactware's QA and product release testing, several Tablet PC models have been verified to be fully Xactimate version 27—compliant, including the following:

  • Convertible Tablet PCs

    Convertible tablets, such as the Lenovo ThinkPad X41, are equipped with keyboards. They resemble conventional laptop PCs but have the ability to rotate the touch-sensitive display and lay it flat over the keyboard for a more comfortable, pen-based interface when desired. These devices are very versatile, allowing for fast keyboard entry when possible, but can be somewhat more fragile than other options.

  • Slate Tablet PCs

    Tablets such as the Toshiba R10-S804TD are thin, very lightweight, and are not equipped with keyboards. Some models do come with removable, portable keyboards. Virtually all modules have docking stations available that provide for attachment to a full-size monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

  • Ruggedized Tablet PCs

    These devices are built for environments where hardware may be easily damaged. They are typically equipped with tough casings and shock-absorbing hard drives. These tablets are intended for a workforce in outdoor, dirty, and less than ideal conditions. They are ultra durable but are often more expensive than other comparable models and typically lag behind in overall computing power and features.
Assignment Workflow

The XactAnalysis network integrates with your workflow and allows you to send and receive assignments for valuations and estimates to staff, independent adjusters, or contractors. The network automates the process, reports on progress, and speeds communication and customer service.

Forms and Reporting

All of the existing flood forms in Xactimate have been updated to match the latest NFIP reports. New flood forms have also been added, including the ICC Adjuster Report, Mobile Home Worksheet, and Preliminary Damage Assessment. Xactimate also offers a host of claims reports ranging from property and replacement cost reports to proof of loss and additional living expense reports.

Valuations: Residential

Our easy-to-use valuation tool guides you through the process of determining the value of your home by answering a series of questions that help build a virtual model of your home behind the scenes. The result is a component-based calculation that individually outlines rooms in the home and determines what materials and labor are needed to build each room. Instead of applying overall statistical factors, the program matches the current pricing for drywall, lumber, doors, etc., to the amount of material needed for each room-and likewise for labor. Users can "drill-down" to any level of detail they desire to change qualities, adjust component assumptions, or simply add more information.

3rd Party Integration

A-Systems JobView Integration

The Xactimate integration with A-Systems JobView allows an Xactimate estimate to be transferred directly into A-Systems JobView to set up a new job or update an existing one.

PSA Export

Proven Solutions Accounting (PSA) integrates with Xactimate and provides job management, inventory costing, and accounting details.

Integration with DISTO™ and Bluetooth®

Xactimate communicates with Bluetooth devices such as the Leica DISTO laser measuring device and wireless headsets. With a wireless headset and DISTO, estimators can set their laptop nearby and enter dimensions for rooms in a loss without touching a keyboard or a mouse.
