About the course

The lesson begins with a review of mathematical order of operations. One-dimensional simple calculations are covered along with some measurement basics. Two-dimensional calculations are covered next which includes items such as calculating the square feet of walls and ceilings or the lineal feet of walls. Also covered are geometric formulas for calculating two-dimensional quantities in non-rectangular rooms such as trapezoids, parallelograms, triangles and circles. Three-dimensional calculations follow with detailed instruction and examples covering how to calculate on board feet and cubic yards of concrete.
