About the course

Metal roofs come in a variety of metal types and quality. At the low-end of the range are overlapping-seam galvanized roofs. At the upper end are stainless-steel, copper, and terne standing-seam roofs. All types of metal roofs are covered as well as both overlapping and standing-seam installation methods. Slate shingles are discussed next. Types and quality of slate and slate cuts are also covered. Fiber-and-cement shingles round out the lesson with information about the types of fiber-and-cement shingles available and how they are installed.
