About the course

This lesson gives detailed information about all types of insulation, how it works and is properly installed. The lesson starts with batt insulation with installation and a discussion of kraft and foil facing. Blown-in insulation is next including adhesive types. Injection systems follow with both foam and blown-in-blanket styles addressed. Poured-in-place insulation is reviewed. A more detailed discussion of the materials used in insulation is next along with how they act in the event of a fire. A common problem with can-style light fixtures is shown as is the correct method of installation. Board insulation and its installation are next. The lesson concludes with a discussion of R value.
