The patented technology behind Sketch helps speed the claims process by enabling you to draw and scope a structure at the same time. In Sketch you can draw building interiors, exteriors, roofs, stairs, and more in either plan view or in 3D. Sketch variables improve your accuracy while reducing the need for manual calculations. New and enhanced Sketch features include: Drag and Drop Estimating, 3D Views and Estimating, Sketch Wizards (Fencing, Arced Walls and Curved Staircases, Plumbing, Insulation, and Electrical), Slide-Out Sketch Controls, and an Annotation Layer.

Aerial Sketch^™

Aerial Sketch is a powerful roof estimating solution available in Xactimate that enables you to estimate residential and commercial roofs, as well as create roofing diagrams using images from web-mapping services like Google and Bing, and other high-resolution aerial image providers. With this solution, automated tools trace roof edges, as well as ridges, hips, valleys, faces and more. Aerial Sketch even has tools to determine roof pitch. The sketch is then converted into a two- or three-dimensional diagram.

Download, upload, and share Sketch templates.

The Online Sketch Template Gallery helps you save time in scoping and sketching intricate floor plans by allowing you to search for, find, use, rate, and even upload your own Sketch templates. Now you can download and modify a host of existing Sketch templates instead of having to create them from scratch.

Macros and Templates

Quickly save and retrieve commonly used items in an estimate.

Macros, which are saved lists of line items, allow you to enter commonly used items into an estimate with a single click. In addition, the templates enable you to enter a sketched component of a structure onto a floor plan complete with the commonly used items. Not only are these features completely customisable, but they can help drastically reduce the amount of time that you spend estimating.

Service Packs contain the latest collection of feature enhancements and code changes to continue providing the best estimating technology for our customers. Service Packs will be released to generic profiles twice a year.

The UK Pricing Team researches and analyses building cost data for use in Xactware applications, pulling from their established experience record in UK residential, commercial, public building construction and management. In addition to Xactware’s own research, rate schedules and pricing information are received from and under licence with NSR Management, providing the most appropriate insurance repair schedule available. Price lists are updated and published quarterly and are available for download 24/7 with an Internet connection.

Access previously uploaded Sketch information and loss data with XactAnalysis Previous Loss data, available within Xactimate estimates. In addition, for customers of ISO ClaimSearch (the only comprehensive all-claims database and system for claims processing and fraud detection) all ISO ClaimSearch data is now available within Xactimate estimates.

The Time and Materials feature allows you to quickly access item components and create an estimate using a tabbed style interface. It also lets you input data on a daily basis by Labour, Materials, Plant, Vendor, and Additional Expenses. Plus, you can even customise each entry with unique and repeatable data such as Franchise number or Employee Name. Remediation contractors benefit from using it to write an invoice for the work done, while CAT adjusters can quickly add component items from a tick sheet without having to drill down into line item assemblies.
