At Xactware, community service is in our blood – as in the twice-a-year American Red Cross blood drives.
But it’s much more than that. From the company’s beginnings in 1986, Xactware employees have been giving back to the community.
Every May, Xactware dedicates a week to various community projects. Employees build homes and do other construction projects for Habitat for Humanity, help out at local schools, and give their time for a variety of other service projects.
Day of Caring
Each year Xactware employees take a day to participate in the United Way’s annual service day. Because so many of our employees have construction experience, Xactware workers often end up on volunteer work crews to build or fix up homes for those in need.
Many Xactware employees designate part of their regular paycheck to support the many organizations that benefit from their participation in the United Way.
From Sub for Santa activities that provide Christmas for various families, to food donations for the Community Action Food Bank, to coats for needy children, Xactware employees see the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays as a time to help others.
And Much More
Xactware employees participate in a variety of service opportunities:
Volunteering at local schools
Donating blood to the Red Cross
Helping at the local Family Support Center
Participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life
Conducting fly fishing retreats for recovering cancer survivors
Serving as part-time elected officials or on other community boards
