September 26, 2008 Interim Price List Update for Hurricane Impacted Areas
Xactware has now published an update to reported pricing in the hurricane impacted areas of the Southeast. This is an early release of the 4th quarter update which would normally have been published on October 1st, 2008.

Xactware is continuing to monitor costs in each market and is prepared to continue publishing updated pricing information should the information reported to us show the need. Many areas which sustained the heaviest damage are still in the process of clean up and will be for some time.
It is important to remember that Xactware’s published pricing information is based upon recently completed surveys and estimate transactions. As prices can change rapidly in the aftermath of any storm, Xactware cannot guarantee that the prices within the published database will be adequate for any specific job. We strongly recommend that all customers monitor their local market for any such changes and adjust your estimate pricing as is appropriate. Please report any price changes to Xactware as soon as possible. We will in turn adjust any information we can independently verify for inclusion in future price list publications. Pricing feedback can be submitted from within Xactimate itself, and online at: https://www.xactanalysis.com/.
Additionally, in the potentially rapidly changing “post storm” markets, you may send emails on price changes to Xactware’s Pricing Team directly at email@example.com.
Gasoline prices continue to decline despite a slight increase directly after Ike
Nationally gasoline prices have dropped only $0.03 / gal since the last publication which occurred on August 15. While some areas of the US, particularly the Southeast and Midwest are seeing increases due to delays in the supply chain in the aftermath of Ike, prices are remaining stable at a national level for now. See the Dept of Energy website for details at: http://www.eia.doe.gov/oil_gas/petroleum/data_publications/wrgp/mogas_history.html
Naming Convention for this interim update
As the reported prices for this publication are an early release of the fourth quarter publication, the databases referenced above will use the standard “8D” convention. This code represents the year (8) and the quarter (D = 4th quarter) respectively. Future updates from this point forward will use a specific date convention as needed.
