Xactware and Crawford & Company Announce Complete Contents Estimating Service
Xactware Solutions, Inc. and Crawford & Company announced an enhanced business partnership that will provide full-service contents estimation for property insurance carriers. Insurance carriers can use Xactware tools to send assignments to Crawford and track progress. Crawford will utilize Xactware’s industry leading XactContents estimation tool to create comprehensive contents estimates and electronically return those estimates back to insurance carriers.
Crawford is the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities, with a global network of more than 700 locations in 63 countries. Its U.S. Property & Casualty division provides full property service solutions to both residential and commercial carriers. The Crawford Contents Unit has been providing contents valuations to the industry for several years. Crawford is a long-time user of Xactware tools, and will implement Xactware’s new contents estimating solution, XactContents, to enhance their Contents Valuation Service delivery.
Xactware is the property industry’s leading provider of estimating solutions for both claims professionals and underwriters. The XactContents software helps contents estimators complete detailed, highly accurate contents estimates, usually with significant time savings over traditional contents estimating workflows.
“With XactContents, Crawford Contents will enhance our current well-delivered service to insurance carriers to an unprecedented level of contents claims handling services,” said Larry C. Thomas, senior vice president of Crawford’s Contents Services. “With a single assignment, insurance carriers can provide their policyholders with full-service contents estimation.”
Some of the key features of XactContents include connectivity with the XactAnalysis network; a variety of detailed, real-time reports; one-click access to many hundreds of thousands of key contents line items, updated weekly, with quick access to millions more; the ability to search items by brand name, features, or model number; automatic like-kind-and-quality options for obsolete items; and built-in depreciation tables, including deductible and salvage options, that automatically calculate benefits.
“Crawford has a worldwide reputation for innovation and quality,” said Jim Loveland, Xactware’s president and CEO. “Xactware is pleased to work with Crawford to provide insurance carriers and their policyholders with high-quality contents estimation services.”
