Utah Business Magazine Names Xactware’s Jim Loveland CEO of the Year
Magazine lauds Loveland’s leadership, community service
Citing his focus on innovation and his willingness to change and improve, Utah Business magazine has named Xactware President and CEO Jim Loveland as one of eight CEO of the Year honorees.
Each year, Utah Business recognizes CEOs who embody the qualities of a successful leader, such as promoting technology and demonstrating sound business judgment. The magazine recognized Loveland for his extensive background in the property/casualty insurance industry, his ability to drive innovation, and his commitment to community involvement.
“Utah is home to many innovative companies with great leadership. It’s an honor to be selected,” Loveland said. “It is a tribute to the Xactware team and recognition of their hard work and devotion.”
This award places Loveland in elite company. Past CEO of the Year recipients include Omniture CEO Josh James, former Utah Valley University President William A. Sederburg, and Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne.
Since taking the helm at Xactware in 2005, Loveland has seen the company’s revenue quadruple. He has guided Xactware during its expansion into Europe and led the organization into the prestigious Verisk Family of Companies.
Loveland is also an active participant in the local community. He is a member of the national advisory board for the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Business and serves on the board of The Living Planet Aquarium. He frequently encourages the Xactware team to take an active role in their communities.
