Xactware Breaks Ground for New Headquarters in Lehi, Utah
State officials, community leaders laud company’s ingenuity, innovative spirit
State officials, community leaders, local residents, and hundreds of company employees gathered Thursday as Xactware, a leading provider of technology solutions to the property insurance, remodeling, and restoration industries, broke ground for its new headquarters at Traverse Mountain.
In attendance at the groundbreaking ceremony were Utah Gov. Gary R. Herbert, Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz, Lehi officials, Xactware executives, and hundreds of company employees. The new headquarters will be located near Timpanogos Highway in the Traverse Mountain Business Park and is scheduled for completion in February 2014. The building will be constructed to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Silver Certification standard and will feature a state-of-the-art data center, beach volleyball courts, basketball courts, and a fitness center.
“This really is truly an exciting day, especially when you think about what made this possible” Xactware President and CEO Jim Loveland said. “It’s really all of you, our employees here. We have the best employees in the country without question. I’m very excited to break ground on this new building and launch Xactware in to the future.”
Founded in 1986, Xactware develops computer and mobile solutions to enable property insurance, remodeling, and restoration professionals to quickly estimate structural repair costs.
During his remarks, Lehi Mayor Bert Wilson welcomed Xactware and its employees to the city.
“This is a great place to call home, and to all you employees out here, we just want to make you feel like you’re at home while you’re here,” he said. “We feel we’ve got a lot to offer. We’re grateful to Xactware for finally settling on Lehi.”
Rep. Chaffetz lauded the company’s ingenuity and innovative spirit: “I recognize something great when I see it, and I’ve got to tell you I’m excited for you, and I’m excited for the community, and I’m excited for this state. You’re an example and an inspiration for others.”
Gov. Herbert told the crowd his father was a contractor and that he once almost lost his business because of an inaccurate job bid so he understands the valuable service Xactware provides.
“The story of Xactware is remarkable — it’s the American story,” Herbert said. “Out of that idea of trying to avoid making mistakes when we bid projects, Xactware came in to foundation. Helping solve problems for people who need home repair, getting them back in their homes quicker and better, more efficiently, more effectively, and cheaper than they otherwise would be. This is a great example of free enterprise and the American will of ingenuity.”
