Xactimate System Requirements

Xactimate runs on three platforms: desktop, online, and mobile.

Desktop (X1)

Xactware invests a great deal of resources to emulate and test hundreds of combinations of hardware and software scenarios. We focus on the scenarios predominant in the market that will return the best results for our customers. Xactimate system requirements often correspond to the same trends established by Microsoft. Xactware recommends a Microsoft "System Rating" of 4.0 for the best possible performance results.

Xactimate and other Xactware products are not supported on Mac Operating Systems. Xactware products work with a number of Windows operating systems, which are listed below. Xactware does support machines using a dual boot configuration as long as only one operating system is running at a given time, and as long as that operating system is supported.

Xactimate can be used on any desktop, laptop, tablet PC, convertible, or netbook that supports these system requirements.

Important note: If your system is an enterprise solution as administered by a dedicated IT team, contact your Xactware account manager before proceeding with setup.

Using Disto Devices with Xactimate desktop

Bluetooth 4.0 is required for Microsoft Windows machines as well as the Disto device. These compatible DISTO devices require a computer with Bluetooth 4.0:

  • E7100i
  • D1
  • D2

These compatible DISTO devices require a computer with Bluetooth 4.0 and a Leica DISTO plugin:

  • E7500i
  • D810
  • S910


For the best Xactimate online experience, we recommend you use a computer with the following minimum system requirements:

  • Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
  • At least 1.5 GHz processing speed
  • At least 1 GB of RAM
  • Minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768
  • A broadband Internet connection
  • Internet Explorer 11 with the latest version of Silverlight




  • Devices using iOS 12 and above (iOS 12 supported until March 1, 2021)
  • A periodic internet connection is required to sync; the application can be used offline
  • An Xactware Cloud account


  • Devices using 7.0 (Nougat) – Android 10
  • A periodic internet connection is required to sync; the application can be used offline
  • An Xactware Cloud account

Xactimate Mobile for Android has been tested on a number of devices. For the best application performance, Xactware recommends the following Android devices:


  1. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
  2. HUAWEI MediaPad M3
  3. Google Pixel C (no GPS support)

Please Note: Dell tablets are not supported.

Why only these Android devices?

Using Disto Devices with Xactimate mobile

Bluetooth 4.0 or later is required for iOS or Android mobile devices as well as the Disto device. Using DISTO on Android also requires 7.0 (Nougat) or higher.

SketchCam Requirements

SketchCam is available for Apple iPhones and iPads using iOS 12 and above.

SketchCam is available for Android phones and tablets that have built in gyroscopes and accelerometers.
