Frequently Asked Xactimate Questions from Customers

How do I start using Xactimate?
  • For Xactimate desktop, you will first need to download and install the software. A getting started guide is available for both Xactimate and Xactimate Professional.
  • For Xactimate mobile, you will first need to download and install the software. An installation guide is available for both the Android and iOS platforms.
  • For Xactimate online, just visit www.xactimate.com and enter your Xactware ID and password. Your Xactware ID is listed on the confirmation email you received after completing your online order.
How do I login for the first time?
How do I register to get my XactNet address?
  • Login to www.xactimate.com 
  • From within the Xactimate Tab, click “Tools"
  • Click “Register”
  • Click “I don’t have an XactNet address and need a new one,” then click OK
  • Accept the end user license agreement
  • Complete the required information and click “continue”
  • A screen will appear indicating successful registration
How do I download a price list for my area?
  • Login to Xactimate desktop
  • Create a new estimate or open one
  • Click the "Sketch" or "Estimate Items" tab. You will see a prompt to select a price list
  • Click "Request Price List" link in the lower left corner
  • From the "Request Price List" options, select your state and city, or search by Zip or postal code
  • Click “Download”
What is the Xactware Cloud?
  • The Xactware Cloud lets you to access projects across multiple devices using Xactimate desktop, mobile, and online platforms. This guide will walk you through the basics of using the Xactware Cloud.
What free training options are available to get me started?
  • Xactware Essentials Training introduces new users to Xactimate, XactAnalysis, XactContents, and the Xactware Online Training Center. This hands-on course includes video instruction, training simulations, labs, and knowledge exams.
  • On-Demand Xactware Webcasts are available covering a host of Xactimate topics where leading professionals share their expertise and insights – in 18 minutes or less. You can catch new webcasts on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 PM ET. Subscribe to webcasts to be notified of upcoming topics.
  • The Xactware eService Center can be accessed using your Xactware ID. From there you can find assistance from a database of thousands of documents, videos, product tips, and more. Updated frequently, the eService Center provides content by product categories, helping users get the assistance they need in the most user-friendly manner possible.
Where can I find a list of all the Xactimate and Sketch keyboard shortcuts?
  • The Xactimate Shortcuts PDF can be downloaded and contains the shortcuts for the Sketch Tools, Options, and Annotation tabs along with the Sketch Workspace, Viewing and Miscellaneous Tools, and the Xactimate Estimate Windows.
What if I need additional help?
  • The Xactware eService Center also provides free live chat support 24/7, 363 days a year (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day). Just log into the eService Center to chat online with one of our knowledgeable Xactware staffers in real time.
  • Phone support is available for an additional fee of $20 per case. Customer support specialists can help you over the phone with any Xactware-related issues. Phone support is available 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mountain Time, Monday – Friday (closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day) at 1-800-710-9228.
