About the course

This lesson begins with a discussion of exterior painting prep work and its critical role in creating an attractive and protective finish on many exterior components. Proper caulking and filling techniques are reviewed. The importance of primer and paint quality is covered as is the importance of following the paint manufacturer's specifications. Application of the primer coat is reviewed and common problems are discussed. Use of a paint brush, paint roller, power roller, and an airless sprayer are covered. The lesson concludes with a discussion of proper masking techniques and control of overspray.
