Adjuster Trainer

AdjusterTrainer.com provides training programs and mentorship services to teach new and experienced flood claims adjusters how to do their jobs step-by-step using Xactimate version 28 claims adjusting software. Flood claims adjusting is a complex industry, requiring adjuster certification through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Certification requirements include a minimum of four years of property loss adjusting experience; in-depth knowledge of NFIP standards, procedures, and policies; and a demonstrated ability to prepare an accurate scope of damage and cost estimates. These certification requirements and the steep learning curve to acquire them have created barriers to entry into flood claims adjusting for new adjusters as well as experienced adjusters seeking to transition into the industry.

We break the barriers to entry and reduce the learning curve by teaching flood claims adjusters how to:

  • Become certified through the NFIP Mentorship Program with less than four years of full-time adjusting experience
  • Properly execute each step of the flood claims adjusting process from start to finish within NFIP policy guidelines
  • Proficiently use Xactimate version 28 claims adjusting software to prepare NFIP flood claim estimates, forms, and reports
  • Meet the NFIP standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness of reporting to become top performers in the industry

Founder Didi Womack is an NFIP certified flood claims adjuster and a Xactimate certified trainer facilitating training programs in classroom and online formats. Mentorship services are offered to adjusters enrolled in the Colonial Claims NFIP Mentor Program.

Pilot Sr. on the notion that there was a better way to handle catastrophe claims — better for the carriers, better for the adjusters, and better for the policyholders. He and his wife, Grace, created Pilot Catastrophe Services, Inc., in their kitchen, using their home as the first corporate office. • Serve the client with professional zeal
  • Support your people and help them develop
  • Continually evolve and improve
  • Maintain the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and quality control
  • Maintain financial stability

Thirty-two years later, Pilot is the largest company of its kind, headquartered in Mobile, Alabama, with additional offices in Dallas, Texas, and Hudson, Ohio.

The main key to success is the Pilots themselves. Each client is the responsibility of one of the Pilots. They are devoted to ensuring that the needs of the clients in their care are met and that Walter D. Pilot’s founding principles are nourished and maintained. It is that individual touch and personal responsibility that is the basis for Pilot’s success.
