Plans and Measuring
Course 1

About the course

Bathtubs, electrical outlets, light switches and more magically emerge from an animated blueprint to help you see how blueprint symbols relate to real-world items. The scale used on blueprints is discussed and measurements are determined from the plans. The difference between architect's scale and engineer's scale is reviewed and you learn when each type of scale is typically used. Tape-measure basics are next along with some tips and tricks to use when measuring. The course ends with some basic construction math conventions with a focus on the important order of operations that must be used when doing any type of mathematics.
